Land records

Check who owns a piece of land before you pay for it. Each province keeps its own record; choose a region to see where to check it.

More on Punjab

Each region's page links to its official government websites. Those are not Bloom Property's; their services, fees and opening hours are set by each department and can change.

Before you buy: five checks

Most property fraud is stopped by these, done before any money changes hands.

  1. 1

The Fard is in the seller's name

Get a fresh Fard yourself from the official office or portal, rather than relying on a copy the seller hands you, and check the name and CNIC match the seller's.

  2. 2

    The size matches

Compare the area on the Fard with what you are being sold. Use the area unit converter if one is in Kanal and the other in square feet.

  3. 3

    The ownership history is clean

Ask for the mutation (Intiqal) record, to see how the land came to the seller and that no one else holds a share.

  4. 4

    The society is approved

For a plot in a housing society, check the society is approved by the CDA or the development authority, and get the allotment or transfer letter from the society office itself.

  5. 5

Pay only once it all checks out

Register the sale deed at the Sub-Registrar's office, and pay through the bank, never in cash, once you are sure.
